7 Year Anniversary

Bloomington

Brown County State Park

Story Inn

The Story Still
Nashville
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Wathen, Keith and I had three days and three nights to celebrate our anniversary. Friday night, we went to the Kaisers and enjoyed the perfect evening weather sitting outside in their new outdoor living room (aka "the lanai"). The food was so good, I think I ate at least 3 times what I normally eat. We stayed the night there and slept until 9:00am! Saturday, we went to the art fair in Bloomington and then had an awesome lunch at the Irish Lion. There's not much better than draft cider and Guinness...not to mention the food!
Then, we drove through the park on our way to Story. We stayed at the Story Inn which is was a general store in about 1851. It's really cool. The food is better than anything around here. The inn is supposedly haunted, but we didn't witness the Blue Lady, fortunately. We did have a great time at the tavern down in the basement, which had just reopened after a flood the night before. It's the most interesting place. There are only about 8 bar stools and 2 tables because Story has a population of 3. The owner of the inn, his wife, and the manager of the bar. It's, literally, a stop sign. If you're not staying at the inn or in one of the cabins, you're gone by nightfall. I absolutely love it there. Sunday, we spent the day and night in Nashville. It was nice to take advantage of the quaint little town that's only 15 minutes from our house but we're usually too busy to enjoy!
Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa. I don't think I've been that relaxed since....who knows!

Good thing Keith has long arms to take all those pictures, huh? Happy Anniversary!

We were entertaining ourselves. Keith didn't think it was as funny as I did. I just kept picturing them all lined up on the blog and I had to do it.

I was giggling at all of the self-portraits too! Glad you had a fun and relaxing weekend!
