More Pictures of the Family

Cameron's first picture (in the nursery)

Grandma and Grandpa W.

Aunt Kerry (TiTi) who drove 100 mph to come see her

Keith comparing her size to his hand. We're a little freaked out that she is so small compared to Ty. Yes, we know she is average but to us she is tiny!

Full-body shot

Ty visiting. He wanted to hold the baby and we snapped a picture!

Birth story:
We thought we had all day on Tuesday and that the c-section was schedule for 5:20pm. So, Keith went hunting, I was watching cartoons in my pj's with Ty, etc. Then, we got a call from the hospital to see if we could come in early. To make a long story short, we figured out that there had been a mix-up and we were actually scheduled for 11:30am! I had to call Keith in, find someone to watch Ty, take a shower, etc. all in like 30 minutes. We raced to the hospital just as if I was in labor. We got a kick out of that. Then, they were a few minutes behind so she was born at 12:14pm. The c-section went SO much better this time. I have to say it was really strange going into surgery fully alert. But, I couldn't feel the scalpel this time and they got her out easily (as opposed to pushing with the force of an elephant and using a vacuum). This lady was very happy with it. Actually, I didn't even know they had started and she was already crying. Keith thinks she's all-girl because she still had one foot in the womb and started screaming! Anyway, she looked so tiny we couldn't believe it. Then, they weighed her and I had to have the repeat it because I didn't believe it.

She also had also already earned a reputation in the Birthing Center for most distinctive/loudest cry and being an aggressive eater. She's got a strong personality already that is scaring Dad to death and Mom some too :)

Back to normal life already. Keith is blowing leaves out of the gutter, I'm blogging and eating chocolate, she's sleeping in the crib while I listen and watch her on the monitor. Ty will be coming home from playing at daycare in a couple hours and I cannot wait for the whole family to be together this evening at home for the first time.
